At Viveo we continue growing and we are looking for a backend or fullstack developer to join the scrum team, focusing on team effort to implement product vision and deliver business value via code and systems growth. Your ability to work independently, your time management master skills and problem solving competencies, make you the ideal candidate. Flexibility and logical thinking are required. We are looking for a mid (+ 3 years experience) and senior (+ 6 years experience) Backend Developer to join our worldwide team from the Tallinn office

  • Designing and building Viveo’s growing backend systems, while keeping scalability aspects in mind
  • Coding mostly in JavaScript, Node.js and TypeScript
  • Own the backend services
  • Continuously improve our stack and pay off technical debt
  • Work independently in a team and deliver high-quality code in a timely manner
  • Do code reviews and provide feedback to your peers
  • Write automated tests
  • Contributing ideas to our product development roadmap
  • Collaborate with our frontend developers to design and build APIs
  • For the senior post, mentoring junior members in the team.

 

  • 3+ years of experience in back-end development for the midlevel role, 6+ years of experience for the senior role
  • Proven experience with Node.js, Typescript/Javascript
  • Experience with any SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
  • Understanding of distributed systems, microservice and event-driven architectures
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
  • Passion for software architecture
